The probe into the 2020 presidential election is still ongoing, and a key Republican legislator in Wisconsin is now getting involved.

Assembly Speaker Robin Vos announced on Wednesday that he has recruited three former cops to launch an investigation, which will be overseen by an attorney.

According to The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, he stated that the inquiry will be given a broad mandate, and that detectives will analyze election-related tips and follow up on the most credible ones.

Vos, of Rochester, acknowledged that Biden won Wisconsin by a razor-thin margin and said his taxpayer-funded study is not attempting to reverse the outcome.

“Does there seem to be a lot of smoke or is there a fire?” “We just don’t know,” he explained.

Ann Jacobs, the Democratic leader of the Wisconsin Elections Commission, expressed concern that the inquiry could cause some voters to mistrust the election’s security.

“I believe it is sad that the Legislature is devoting resources to an investigation that has already been extensively investigated, and it is my wish that they might instead focus on expanding voting possibilities and making voting easier for Wisconsin voters,” the Democrat added.
